Tinago Falls is a waterfall in Iligan City, Lanao del Norte in the southern Philippine island of Mindanao. It is one of the main tourist attractions in Iligan, a city known as the City of Majestic Waterfalls. Tinago is a Filipino term meaning "hidden", the falls being hidden in a deep ravine. Trekking to the falls requires approximately 500 descending steps called the winding staircase. The falls is high, its very cold waters cascading beautifully into a deep and calm basin-like pool which appears like a blue-colored lagoon. Under the falls is a small cave where people can enter and listen to the rumbling waters.
I'ven been there for twice and until I still want to go back. The last time I went there, I'm with my sister and my friends. You really need an extra effort and a lot of patience to go there because that place is very much hidden. We went their riding "Habal-habal motorcycle" or also known as "Skylab" which you can only found here in Philippines specially in Mindanao somewhere in mountains. After that, we took a lot of walks just like approximately 1 kilometer going to the stairs with more or less 500 steps down to tinago falls. But reaching to Tinago Fall is like a fulfillment. Maybe next year I'll go back there.
