Today being Sunday, we had finished cooking and I was just about to sit before #bubblews when my brother in law arrived. He was going to a nearby place. He likes our son very much. So when he came he brought chocolates and a bag of vegetables. Puzzled, my mother in law asked why, to which, he, a good cook replied that he was going to cook the dish #gobi-manchurian for my son. I agreed to help him as my mother in law wanted to do something else and she is as usual a bit grumpy these days. My brother in law, his name is Balan (Venkitaram) is a very nice man and very patient too. He is retired from the Appollo Tyre factory. He instructed me to fry the gobi (cauliflower) and made the curry so fast. My son enjoyed the curry the most. He had it just now also with bread, otherwise he is a very picky eater. i must thank my brother in law for taking pains to come to our house which is so far away and making a curry just for us.

His version of gobi manchurian.

Cook the cauliflower in hot water. Strain and keep aside. In a pan, pour some oil and saute the chopped onion and green chillies. Add chopped tomatoes and capsicum and stir fry. Add salt. Meanwhile mix a little flour with water, chilly powder and a pinch of salt. It should be paste consistency. Put the cauliflowers into it and mix well. Heat oil in a pan and fry these cauliflowers till they are done with a golden brown color. Put the fried cauliflowers into the stir fried vegetables and mix well. Add spices and a little food color. Those who want a real spicy dish can add more chilly powder or chilly sauce. Transfer into a bowl or stainless steel vessel and pour tomato sauce on top as required.

I hope you like it.
