Fall is quickly approaching and you know what that means! Yes, brand new TV shows will be making their way on screen, not to mention the new season premieres of our old favorites. There are several that I am looking forward to.
One of them is "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland." This new series is from the creators of the fantasy hit show, "Once Upon a Time" which has become a fan favorite. "Wonderland" is of course about Alice from the Disney fairytale. Truthfully, I am not a huge fan of the Disney version. I mean, it's okay but it is definitely not high on my list of favorite Disney movies. However, I am looking forward to this one, mainly because I am such a fan of "OUAT" that I have high expectations of this new show.
"Wonderland" tells the tale of a young girl named Alice, who is seen in an asylum in the beginning of the premiere because of her 'crazy' stories that she told of being swept away into the land of white rabbits and the evil Queen of Hearts. However, this version intertwines the love story between Alice and a young handsome genie named Cyrus. Creator Adam Horowitz said that Alice is a tough cookie who is strong, not as weak like in the animated version.
We will also meet Jafar, who is from another Disney creation, Aladdin. This sounds like a fun show to get into. Horowitz also mentioned that this show will not be as dark as "OUAT." He called it more like a 'psychedelic romance.'
Also, look for the lended voices of stars such as Roger Daltrey and John Lithgow.
"Once Upon a Time in Wonderland" premieres on Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC
