&happynutritionist If I use anything from a cow, I end up with cramps. I can eat goat cheese and be just fine. I don't think all people who are lactose intolerant can eat goat cheese though, depending on how severe their intolerance is to it.

&Tipi and it DID taste better the next day:-) I hope yours did too.

&rleisure Does goat cheese contain lactose? I have to look into that. Thanks for sharing, your pizza sounds yummy!

I found that goat cheese tastes pretty good. I mixed it with marinara sauce the other day and made pizza and it was amazing!

Hi Susie &Tipi Yes, it was, in fact I have some leftover for lunch that I'm about to eat in a few minutes...it's even better leftover:-)

&leepay Oh how I wish I wasn't as it makes planning to eat out quite an ordeal. I have all the allergy charts for all the places we like to eat saved in my tablet to refer to and plan before I go, as I don't like being such a downer once we get to the restaurant.

&caroline-sez indeed it can be, but maybe I eat healthier as a result? I'm not sure. Do you have it too?

&KateNorth If you are in the US (I don't recall) Lactaid makes ice cream and cottage cheese that has the enzyme missing to digest, Cabot has a lot of lactose free cheeses and it's clearly written on the label, Kraft does too, but you have to look harder on the label. I don't drink milk. Do miss yogurt though.

Thank you &Nana &ack311 and &PoeticEnigma - Thank you, I'm happy to have found this solution.

&Derek_Zen yes the body does have a way of letting you know...my mouth lets me know what not to eat by having a funny sensation..itching..odd, but if we listen, our bodies do occasionally "talk" to us.

I am NOT lactose intolerant but this sounds so good I think I'm going to make it anyway using your listed ingredients.

Sounds great! My daughter has lactose issues and I have a terrible time finding lactose-free cheese. I know it exists, but I don't think my local supermarkets have gotten the memo that such a thing exists. :-( It *is* time to check again, though... been a while since I've looked.

I have the same problem with all sugars and we use only lactose-free milk. Been like that for several years now, but I have got used to it and feel so much better without sugars, and no longer even miss them. I can almost smell if there is sugar in a food and will avoid eating it. :-)
