It was almost eight months ago that Lifetime ordered ten episodes of the series, 'Witches of East End.' Since their announcement back in January there have been rumors of recasting, and tons of fans feared the series would be shut down before it even seen daylight and aired. Lifetime network has finally put all of those rumors to rest and announced a 'Witches of East End' premiere date. The new series' first episode is set to air this fall on October 6th. The Witches of East End cast includes: Jenna Dewan Tatum (the wife of actor Channing Tatum), Rachel Boston, Julia Ormond, and Madchen Amick. Contrary to popular belief the show will not be based on the popular novel 'Witches of Eastwick', it actually will be based on a different novel by Melissa de la Cruz which has the same title, 'Witches of East End.'
Here's a look at the official synopsis on IMDB:
"Centers on the adventures of a mother and her two adult daughters, both of whom unknowingly are their family's next generation of witches, who lead seemingly quiet, uneventful modern day lives in Long Island's secluded seaside town of North Hampton. When one of the daughters becomes engaged to a young, wealthy newcomer, a series of events forces her mother to admit to her daughters they are, in fact, powerful and immortal witches."
