You just can't make this stuff up. A 95-year-old man who lived in an Illinois nursing home died today after being shot by bean bags and tased by the police. Some people might wonder why the police would do this to a really, really old guy in a nursing home. Apparently, it was warranted. Don't ask me how, but the news blurb that I read said that the man was threatening the police with a 12-inch butcher knife. How he got hold of such a deadly weapon in a nursing home is beyond me. Before the police came, he was threatening paramedics and nursing home staff with a cane. That seems more appropriate for a nursing home.

There was no immediate cause of death released. I'm guessing it probably had to do with the beanbag guns and the taser, but that'd probably be too obvious. Here's the whole scoop:
