There is a saying that life imitates art, and fans of the FOX comedy "Glee" haven proven this to be true. Just one day after "Glee" star Cory Monteith was found dead in a hotel room in Vancouver, fans across the globe came together to name a star in space after the actor. In the season 3 episode "Extraordinary Merry Christmas," Finn Hudson (played by Cory Monteith) gives Rachel Berry (played by his real life girlfriend Lea Michele) a star which he named after himself. In the scene he explains that he called the star Finn Hudson because there is already a star named Rachel Berry: her. It's a very cute scene and one of the best Finchel moments in the entire series.
One fan of the show in the United Kingdom started a campaign to name a star after the actor, and collected the two hundred and sixty dollars that was needed to buy the star in just twenty minutes. Fans of the series from The United States, China and other parts of the world contributed to the star, and there is even an official certificate with Cory's name on it. The star is located in Canes Venatici constellation. So now Finn and Cory have stars in a touching tribute to the show and the actor from the fans.
