If you've read Stephen King's novel Lisey's Story, you might recognize the phrase "eating nasty." Or maybe it was "eatin' nasty." I can't remember but I do remember this phrase he wrote in that novel.
The premise of Lisey's Story follows: a famous author dies and his wife, Lisey, is left behind. One night she fixes some Hamburger Helper, which she and her husband would eat from time to time. When they indulged, Lisey said her husband called it "eatin' nasty."
That just cracked me up! It is eating nasty. I mean white flour noodles, packaged fake cheese sauce, and red meat. About as nasty as it gets.
Last night I fixed a box of macaroni and cheese and chopped up some chicken in it. I was eating nasty. And I did it again tonight because although it's nasty, I'm not so much of a pig to eat the whole thing in one sitting.
But as seen in the photo, I also was drinking nasty. Yes, that's screwdriver (vodka and orange juice) in the glass.
