I've had friends that had good luck with these

I responded to your comment but for some reason the link only takes when I copy your name from your profile page, not sure why. Here it is again:

Yeah, they are a lot heavier and I think what might have choked you up is the draw. I've noticed they draw much easier than regular cigarettes. I might try the flavored ones later on (cherry, pineapple, etc) but I've heard that you want to wait to use those until you are down to zero nicotine because they don't taste very well otherwise. I smoke menthols so that's what I started with.

&travelnctheworld I've tried the cold turkey and since my husband smokes and does not have any desire to quit, it was like a living nightmare. That's why I thought this might work better, because I can gradually reduce my nicotine and still have something to keep my hands busy. As a matter of fact, I've already noticed a little difference in my patterns. Since it doesn't go out, I've noticed that although I'm holding it a little longer, I'm not actually "smoking" as much. Just keeping my hands busy more which I'm taking as a good sign. I received it today and I went ahead and ordered another set of cartridges for it this afternoon when the other e-check cleared. I'll probably order another batch on Monday with a lower nicotine rate when my next e-check clears on Monday, that way I won't run the risk of running out.

&Ellen I'll be watching for it! I love reading your posts! Please keep me in your prayers, too. I'm hoping that if I'm successful maybe my husband might decide to join me.

I smoked for a long time almost 30 years. I had tried everything. I was so bad could not even quit for one day. What worked for me was when I was slowly dying. People had prayed for me and long story (maybe will post about it) but God came to the rescue. I was in the hospital waiting to die and God had both roomates healed and they both received Christ. Then I said ok, I am ready to go home. He then said when I go home and have the urge to smoke say, "I rebuke you devil in the name of Jesus, I choose life not death". I will do a post on it.. as too long for here. But I tell you the word of God works. Keep a look out I will mention your name in the post.

I found the E-cigg to be very helpful when pulling myself off regular ciggs. IF you keep on... I found also, when I had a fissure in my commitment and failed to keep a supply of cartridges or misplaced the USB charger and resorted to the old cancer stick, I was exponentially more addicted to the nicotene than before. I really didn't smoke much before so I suppose the increase after not having the E-cigg was noticeable. No tar with the E-cigg but admitfully I was still hooking myself on SOMETHING. My success points to cold turkey.

Good for you, it's worth a try. I did try it and didn't like them. Course, they tasted like vanilla, which I DO like, but not to inhale. They also made me choke a lot more than the roll your own, we smoke. Weird. The other thing I noticed was that they were a lot heavier, so when I smoked, they tended to fall out of my mouth! (yes, that's embarrassing) Good luck, I wish you MUCH better luck than I had. :)

&mylindaelliott I will definitely do that! Most people have told me it took them between 1-3 months.

Let us know how that goes. I have a couple of sons who need to stop.

One of the people I work with bought one and he stopped. He really liked it. Good luck and hope it works for you. :)

&AndersonMelissa Thank you very much! I hope that it does, when I sat there trying to decide what to do with my Bubblews earnings it was one of the first goals that really stuck in my head. So I'm hoping that it works and I can finally be cigarette free, I know it will take time to wean myself down to 0 nicotine but at least I've started that direction!

I wrote an article on e-cigarettes once; from what I've read, I think it could be worth a try.

&freeasabird it is my understanding from everything I've read that they are much less dangerous than traditional cigarettes. I'm of course not positive but I would imagine that each level you go down on the nicotine would also make them more safer. Although if I'm incorrect, someone please correct me.

I've been trying to quit off and on for over 12 years and so I'm really hoping this works for me. I'll definitely keep you updated.

Anything that may help you quit has got to be worth a try. Is there any danger with e-cigarettes? Can they do any damage to your lungs?

The trick I found was whether you like it or not at first, stick with it. It worked for me until I went to a casino and for some reason started smoking a real cigarette.
