Poodles are among the most popular breed of dogs in the world. They are especially famous in many dog shows hosted by several organizations. There are three kinds of Poodles – the Toy Poodle, the Miniature Poodle and the Standard Poodle.
Poodles have garnered several awards in many confrontation shows such as Best in Show 1991, 2002, 2007 and 2010. Toy Poodles won "Best in Show" at Crufts in 1966 and 1982. Standard Poodles achieved the award in 1955, 1985 and 2002.

Common health problems of Poodles are Addison’s disease, gastric dilatation volvulus, thyroid, epilepsy, sebaceous adentitis, juvenile renal disease, hip dysplasia, and cancer.

Boye is historically a famous poodle who was killed at the Battle of Marston Moor. The dog is the pet of Prince Rupert of the Rhine.
Rhapsody in White ("Butch") is a Standard Poodle which was featured in the movie “Best in Show”.
Roly was featured in the BBC's "EastEnders" for eight years.
