lol Sony also markets a phone model that is supposedly "waterproof" but is only protected against the occasional spill and short dunks in your drink. Submerging it in water for longer periods of time will ruin the device. I guess "water resistant" isn't as marketable as "water proof."

I once read about Liquipel, they basically take your phone and coat almost every component with a water-resistant film thingie, so that each component will be water resistant (instead of just designing a phone that will keep water out.)
