Another of the WWE's most popular Divas is Kaitlyn.
Her real name is Celeste Bonin and she was born on October 7th, 1986 in Houston, Texas.
I actually knew about Kaitlyn before the WWE because I have a lot of fitness blogs and had done a write up on her when she was a female bodybuilder.
Yes, like Trish Stratus, Torrie Wilson, Chyna and many other WWE Divas of the past, Kaitlyn made the cross over to pro wrestling from the fitness industry.
Kaitlyn got a pretty good start, beginning fitness competitions in 2006 at the age of nineteen and winning the John Sherman Classic Bodybuilding Figure and Fitness Championship and coming in fifth at the Arnold Classic NPC Figure Class D Competition.
She was signed by the WWE in 2010 and like most new hires, she was sent to Florida Championship Wrestling (WWE's developmental territory) for training.
Kaitlyn debuted there under the ring name Celeste, and then it was changed to Ricki Vaughn, and then changed again to Kaitlyn.
Name changes like that are fairly normal as they are developing their in ring personas.
She was normally a "Face" (good guy) although she did play a "Heel" (bad guy) for a bit until management realized that the crowd liked face Kaitlyn way more than heel Kaitlyn.
With most of the other FCW Divas, she appeared on the third season of WWE's "reality show" NXT, under the ring name Kaitlyn, and Vickie Guerrero was her storyline pro, or mentor.
To tell you the truth, I watched that season and was not really impressed with her.
AJ and Naomi seemed to have a LOT more ring skills, but you could tell Kaitlyn really wanted to succeed.
And that paid off as she went on to win the competition to become WWE's first ever "breakout diva".
At the end of 2010 Kaitlyn appeared on WWE SmackDown and actually went on to wrestle.
She has avoided the valet, manager, girlfriend roles (generally) that a lot of WWE Divas are typecast into and has actually maintained a ring presence.
Kaitlyn had feuds with Vickie Guerrero, Maxine, Eve Torres, formed a tag team known as The Chickbusters with AJ (her real life best friend) and then broke up with her to have a feud with AJ.
On January 14th, 2013 at the Raw 20th Anniversary Special in Houston Texas, Kaitlyn defeated Eve and won the WWE Divas Championship.
