I was a bit startled to find out what a red upside down triangle means. Originally it was used to identify prisoners in World War II. It's said that it represented homosexuals and political prisoners of war. Another meaning of an upside down triangle can be femininity. It's also the Greek letter for Nabla which could also mean a harp. So VERY interesting is the symbolism of a triangle.

When I set out to make my last piece of artwork, I had no intention of placing a meaning on the painting like that- it sort of just turned out the way it is by accident and I titled it "Remember", which makes the meaning even more powerful.

I find it interesting now, to look at the fire and the image of this simple triangle to have a deeper meaning than I intended.
