&sharkbytes I wish I had a dehydrater! My mom used to make fruit leather when I was a kid. So much better than fruit roll ups and even healthier :-)

Good tip. We don't use much jam, but I sure wish I had an apricot tree, because I do have a dehydrator!

&CharleneCollins2350 you never know if you don't try. Just about the only way it can ever get messed up is if it doesn't set up right. Sometimes that is because of the pectin or something. But if it doesn't set up just use it as syrup :-)

&Champagne yeah apricots are ridiculous if you buy them in a store. Unfortunately some years I don't get them if my parents' tree gets froze late in the season. They are usually at least $4 a pound here. I won't pay that for any fruit

&suzy91 you should try it, it's not that hard. And it's so much better than store bought

I haven't had a good apricot since Lincoln was a baby. By the time we get them down here, they are still hard, and the cost is through the roof. I would have to take out a second mortgage to buy a bag. I miss them, as they did grow in California when I was a kid. Not that we had a tree, we didn't.

My mom made jams. I haven't tried to yet. Might have to give it a go soon.
