I do my best to keep my lenses original, along with my pictures and even my own videos. I keep it personal, not too commercial (so squidoo doesn't lock me). Having a rough time, being at 0.00 so far. But...I'll not give up, cannot give up. I want this as my future career. Exciting and scary. Back to Module 1 for a refresher. Thanks. Awesome post and reminder :-)

I concentrate on keeping them featured unless they are very close to the edge of a paying tier. Then I will work to keep it in that tier or get it into the next tier. Mostly I just write what I'm passionate about and let the chips fall where they may. That's probably why I'm not making money. This is the first month in several I didn't get a payout, and my threshold is $10.00.

I'm very new to Squidoo, tomorrow my first payday for lensrank is due. But I happen to be in the luckiest position, that in my first full month on Squidoo I had 2 Tier1 lenses (one was Lens of the Day within a week after publishing, I was almost in shock with happiness) so my first pay out will be very good! Next month it will drop drasticly though...
I don't have a clue yet, just try to write good content. Don't even know how to do SEO yet, I guess I have work to do...

I feel that chasing after lensrank is pretty much like an ass chasing after the proverbial carrot. Right now it makes no difference, as the payouts for Tier 1 have dropped drastically.

RIght now as I am still young in Squidoo, I focus first on my content because I am still figuring my way on this keywords, tags or seo matters, so what I do is create great lenses at the meantime which I think I am doing good and then learning my way through seo to boost my tier ranking. In time both will work good on me and I will be paid enough for my future goals. As blogging means a long term goal and a make or break moment, all I have to do now is be positive and express my uniqueness

I just focus on good old content and picking the right keywords. If you do that they tend to stay green and I have only one in the red at the minute which if I am honest isn't that good a lens. Someday I will update it.

Sure it would be nice it have few tier one ranked pages, but I too do not writer for lens rank. On Squidoo I write to attract organic traffic from the search engines.
