Well, I'm glad you asked! When you work a regular job, and then you also work on your DIY project and especially a new log home, you are going to have to take some time off work, or, work nights and weekends to be able to accomplish the task. But, I want to point out something that is of absolute importance here.



God created the universe and the earth and everything living thing in 6 days, and on the seventh day, He rested. Genesis chapters 1 and 2. God gives us a very important example here. We need to have a day of rest, and focus solely upon God and His Word! We must worship God in Spirit and in Truth according to John 4:24. So we need one day to solely worship God and to rest our weary bodies. That is what God created the 7th day for. To rest from our regular work, and worship Him.



Think with me here, did not God give you your life? It didn't just happen by chance friends. If your honest you will have to say yes. God has also given you your skills and abilities, and your resources, and your every heart beat and your every breath. He holds your life in His hands, therefore, we must obey God, and take a day of rest. For Christians, we have been given the example from the Lord Jesus Christ Himself as He raised from the dead on the 1st day of the week, and so the early church gathered together on that special day, called the Lord's Day, to worship Him and to rest!



If we will honor and obey God, He will honor us and not only provide for our needs, but bless us more than we could ever imagine!



So work hard 24/6, but on the Lord's day, worship God acceptably, and rest! You will be amazed at what God will do in your life, if you put Him first!
