Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act or CISPA is making all sorts of internet noise especially in the US. After the the equally controversial bills like the SOPA and PIPA, the US Congress is at it again, now bigger and meaner.

So what is CISPA? In a nutshell, it allows the US Government to procure information from, but not limited to tech companies like Facebook, Twitter, and other social networking sites to hand over information in the event that a cyber threat is suspected or is present.

This proposed law aims to prevent cyber attacks, but this made the public throw a tantrum since this law, when passed will, according to popular websites and other sources, violate privacy of citizens and online users.

The fear is there for all the Netizens and because a cyber attack can be a flexible term to use, tendency to incorrectly flag someone can be high. Four hundred websites have shown protest. Will you join them?
