It is the fourth day since the Winter Olympics opened last February 7, 2014, the medal standing is always updated. As of the moment the race is neck to neck with the top 3 countries : Canada, Netherlands and Norway respectively. Canada, the current leader has now three gold medals, three silver medals and one bronze medal with the total of seven. The second place standing belongs to Netherlands with three gold medals, two silver medals and two bronze medals, with total of seven also. Norway is in third place with two gold medals, one silver medal and seven bronze medals with total of seven medals. United States of America has five medals all in all followed by Germany two, Russia six, Austria three, France has two, Poland and Slovakia have one medal each.
The medal standings will still be changing since there are still events that are currently on going. For the record, since 1924 Norway is the most medaled country in the Winter Olympics with a total of 303.
