This is a Borneo Forest Scorpion, Heterometrus longimanus.

Their pincers, and that long tail with a stinger on the end of it, make them look pretty menacing. We have one species of scorpion which is native to the state I live in, and years ago, I caught one, and kept it in a plastic container. I fed it a cricket, and he grabbed it, then stung it. Once it was paralyzed, he ate it like a sandwich.

One interesting fact about this species, is that their babies are born live, and after they are born, they ride on their mother's back for a while.
