Abstract concepts are made understandable when we give sufficient examples relating to the students’ experiences. We repeat the process day in day out—deposit information into their heads which are likened to empty receptacles then withdraw the same in a test. At the end of the term we withdraw everything in the final examination and so when students go back for the next term their minds are empty again. This is so-called banking system of education. There are also factors that could make the learning of the students be meaningful.
