&travellinda I've actually used something similar when I spent a few months living out of a camper. It would get blasted cold by morning, so I'd put a clay pot upside down over one of the gas burners on the stove and turn it on (with the camper ventilated, of course). It would take about five minutes to warm the camper, I'd turn off the burner and the pot would continue to radiate heat for about a half hour.

I for one am curious as to your results. I always worry about when the power goes off in my home. We are forced to heat with electric so you can see the problem.
