The empire state building in new york with a height of 381 meter is very famous. Unfortunately it is also famous for suicides, more than 30 people have taken their own life's by jumping to death.
However there is an almost incredible story about a woman who failed to commit suicide. It was back in 1979: Elvita Adams jumped from the 86th floor and survived! How? A heavy gust of wind blew her back into floor 85, so altogether she jumped down only for a few meters and she just got a fracture on her hips.
What a crazy story, I'm sure the lady thought that someone just doesn't want her to be dead already!
