I keep my youngest granddaughter often. She is my "outside" girl, she loves to be outside, just like me. Although she is only 2 we go for walks almost every day. I buy her books and read to her daily too. Her "Papa" will get down in the floor and play cars with her. We will have a very good, strong relationship with her. You have lots of great advice here! :)

We have started writing letters to our grandkids. They love it and write.back.

&Sheilamarie78 that's wonderful because you make the time you spend together special for all of you, so even if they live far away, you are still building up that strong bond with them :)

Nicely presented. I'm a grandmother and would love to do all those wonderful things with my granddaughters, but they are thousands of miles away. When we are together, though, we have a blast!

&ctsuhako1 yes that's just what spoiling does, mine didn't spoil me, but I've seen many others do just that with their grandchildren. &pneill Thanks, glad I did :)

Nice article! Great info! I think that Grandparents sometimes spoil their Grandchildren and this can lead to problems relating to the value of money later down the road. I know this as my Grandparents spoiled me rotten,,,for example I really didn't get Santa because they bought me the gifts I wanted...I miss them.
