The product life cycle has four stages as shown in the diagram manely: Introduction Stages- Growth Stage- Maturity Stage and Decline Stage. As per the product moves through different stages of its life cycle, sales vilume and profitability changes from stage to stage. A detailed study of each stage is necessary in terms of its basic features, so that a marketeer make necessary changes in his marketing mix.
