Some people find it really hard to sleep without any light sources on in the home. When you are talking about being afraid of the dark, you would first likely think of a child. The truth is many adults don’t like to sleep in complete darkness either. Many adults sleep with some type of light rather it’s a television, night light or a hall light.
Some say it is just easier for them to sleep with a light or TV. on and others because of more distressing reasons need a light to help to fall asleep and feel secure.
Some research though speaks about how leaving the television on at night while you sleep can have negative health effects in the long run.
