Great post! Interesting statistics, however, crime rates are proportionate to population for example, I would bet that there is way more crime in say a state like New York but in comparison to their population, does not seem like a lot. Also, in places like Nevada and Florida where millions of tourists flock every year, it would stand to reason that crime rates would be higher, i.e. Orlando. It is the same in Canada, one of the Provinces here with the highest crime rate has the least amount of population, however, technically there is definitely more crime in other provinces with larger populations. Also, I know for a fact that certain cities in Southwest Florida are the safest in the nation. I think sometimes, as with any statistic, there are so many variables to take into consideration.
