When it's winter, I keep a pack of those hand and/or feet warmers in the car. They are flat and come wrapped in plastic. They require no batteries or power, you just take them out of the packaging and activate them and they'll provide a lot of heat for up to 8 hours. They could save your fingers or toes from frostbite! They're cheap, too, about a dollar a piece.

In Minnesota, we always have to carry jumper cables during the winter!

I only have had junk vehicle,no money and only I to rely on, I require tools replacement parts and several things that might help Me "limp" to safety in emergencies
