Just as the intuitive Horse Whisperer, Wyatt Webb, was broadcast getting 'Juicy' Joe Giudice to confess to feeling scared about his legal woes, the impending fraud trial has now been postponed until 24 February 2014. The trial had been originally scheduled for 8 October 2013. Both Teresa and her husband Giuseppe 'Joe' Giudice are accused of fraudulently obtaining loans and mortgages. They are also accused of not declaring all of their assets to the bankruptcy court. (Am I the only one who wonders how a bankrupt couple still manage to live in such a large house?).

Anyway, a kindly judge obviously took pity on Joe as she allowed him extra time to prepare his defense.

Nonetheless, the criminal trial, which Joe faces for trying to obtain a driving license using his brother Pietro's (Pete's) documents, is still scheduled for 28 October this year. Those of you who have watched the Real Housewives of New Jersey, will recall Joe having a car accident whilst intoxicated. He claimed that he had drunk, to calm his nerves, after the incident. However, he was convicted of DUI and spent a short spell in prison. His driving license was also suspended. Joe Giudice does look remarkably like his brother and he is accused of impersonating him in order to obtain a new license.

Joe Giudice has already turned down a 5 year jail term plea bargain and faces up to 10 years in prison, if found guilty. However, this is a drop in the ocean when compared to the 50 years that he potentially faces, if found guilty in the fraud trial. It is generally believed that Joe will take the fall for Teresa, so it is unlikely that she will spend any time behind bars.

In watching the Real Housewives of New Jersey, I couldn't help but feel a little sorry for Joe. We are so used to seeing the "whatever" persona, that to hear him actually admit to being scared, makes you realize that he is only human after all. Also, let us not forget that he has 4 daughters who may be missing their father, for some considerable time.
